Asus just announced the first NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 tablet, the Eee Pad Transformer Prime. The tablet will be officially launched on November 9th at $499 for the 32Gb version. It will be accompanied by a $149 keyboard dock starting with December.

It has a 10″ (1280×800) display Super IPS+ with increased reading capabilities outdoor in sunlight. There’s also a 8MP front camera with auto focus and flash.

The tablet is really thin having only .33 inches (8.3mm), weights 586g and it’s said to last 12 hours on a charge. Asus is also promising 18 hours for the keyboard dock’s 22Wh battery. Asus uses hydro-oleophobic coating to avoid fingerprint smudges.

All in all this is really cool tablet. Would you consider buying one?
