How Much Do App Developers Charge Per Hour?
Contractiq, a “show and tell” community for mobile app development agencies, released recently a report on pricing trends across major app development markets. They’ve asked around 130 app development firms on their plans for 2014, how they would price their services, and the results show that 62% of the agencies are planning to increase their rates, one reason being that 54% of them are expecting a shortage of developers.
If you want to work with good developers from North America you can expect to pay $100 – $125+, in South America $30 – $75, in India $30 – $50. The report doesn’t say anything about Western Europe or Eastern Europe, but according to Sourcingline and based on our knowledge of the market, on the old continent, prices range between $50 – $150 on the western side and $25 – $50 on the eastern area.
When looking at which developers are most confident there will be a rate increase, Android developers are leading the way with 67%, followed by iOS developers 54%, while Windows developers are the most worried about rate decrease 14%.
