Few days ago was released a special report from KleinerPerkins called Internet trends 2011. I’ll emphasize the domain that is most interesting for us, mobile. In comparison to other communication technologies like radio, tv, internet, mobile internet (smartphones) we’re in still in the early day, in the US for example the penetration rate is at 60%.

In Europe and USA smartphones surpassed feature phone shipments.

If we are looking a the whole world, smartphones still have a lot of room to grow.

In USA, a country with 244 millions user, the ecommerce is 8% from total commerce figures.

If you were doubting about the power of mobile commerce, take a look at the trends showed by big retailers eBay, Target or Amazon.

Check out the full report here.
