15 Great Words To Help You Get Retweets
It is very hard for me not to click on tweets done by Hubspot (on Twitter @Hubspot). This is why I decided to share with you a recent analysis they mentioned in one of their webinars, regarding the top 15 words that spike people’s interest and will likely get you retweets:
Great – who doesn’t want to find out something great? I surely do.
Twitter – we’re on Twitter so something related to Twitter gets us interested
Retweet, please retweet – it pays of if you ask others to retweet something valuable, but don’t do it all the time
Follow – this is a call to action and people often respond to it, still don’t over do it
Please – being nice it’s free, so it’s always smart to be gentle
Social, Media, Social media – Twitter users are social(media) creatures so they get attracted to these terms
Post, Blog, Blog post, New blog post – people are always looking for new stuff to enrich their
Knowledge – you want to be smarter, so do others
How to, Help – try to give a step by step solution to a problem, offer you help to others
10 – we’re flooded with information, so when you’re summarizing for others it works “10 solutions to your big problem”
Top – you don’t like average, you want to find the best, the top
Free – zero, nada, zip, free sticks like glue to people
Check out – a call to action people find it hard to rezist to, the temptation to click that blue link gets bigger
