The Battle Between App Stores

It all started in 2007 with the iPhone launch and now we’re in 2011 in the middle of a genuine war between mobile operating systems. There are now over 375,000 apps in the App Store, over 224,000 apps on the Android Market and a total of 826,000 apps if you add apps on iPad, Blackberry, Windows Phone 7, Ovi and Palm.
According to the App infographic from WebpageFX, iPhone users have about 48 apps per phone, while Android users use just 35 and Blackberry users, just 15.
Soon Apple will launch the iPhone 5 and next year we expect a real onslaught from Microsoft with Windows 8. For more interesting stuff checkout the infographic below.
